How to create a Contact code
Create a contact card that people can save to their address book after scanning.
- Enter a first name, a last name, or both.
- Add any phone, email, website, organisation or address details you want to share.
- Generate the code and check its contents.
- Download and test saving the contact on your intended devices.
What to enter
- First name
- Enter at least one name. First and last names can each contain up to 100 characters.
- Contact telephone
- Choose the country and enter the number, or paste a full number starting with +. Spaces, brackets and dashes are accepted; extensions are not supported.
- Contact email
- Enter one email address, such as hello@example.com. Addresses with accented or non-Latin characters and display names are not supported.
- Website
- Use a complete address beginning with http:// or https://.
- Street
- You can use several lines for the street address. Enter each other address field on one line.

Scanning your code
The code uses a vCard 3.0 contact card. Camera and contacts apps may handle fields differently, so check the saved contact before sharing widely.
Sharing and privacy
Your entries stay in your browser while you create the code. Anyone who receives the finished code can read the contact details.

Questions about Contact codes
Can I add a photo or custom fields?
The code includes a name and the optional fields shown in the form. Photos and custom fields are not supported.
How does someone save the contact?
A compatible scanner can offer to open the contact card. The recipient can review it and choose to save it.
Do I need both names?
No. A first name or a last name is enough, including a single-name contact.
