Advanced settings

Error correction helps a code remain readable if some of its data is damaged. M is a good choice for everyday use. Higher levels offer more recovery but make the code denser and leave less room for content. Percentages refer to recoverable code data, not the area you can cover. Always test the finished code.

Scanning your code

The receiving device needs an email app that can open an email link. Some scanners ask for confirmation. The generator does not send email.

Sharing and privacy

Anyone with the code can read the email address and message. Keep private conversation details out of public codes.

Questions about Email codes

Does creating the code send an email?

No. Scanning can open a draft, and the recipient chooses whether to send it.

Can I add multiple recipients or cc?

The code supports one recipient, an optional subject and a message. Multiple recipients and cc are not supported.

Why does the code contents show symbols such as %20?

Email links use these symbols to safely represent spaces and punctuation. A compatible email app turns them back into the original text.
